Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 142 total incidents in the blotter:

Jan. 21:

Trespassing: A male had been trespassed from an E. Pioneer Blvd, casino. The male returned and was being cited for trespass when he became belligerent and aggressive and was transported to jail.

Wanted person: An officer made contact with a suspicious male adult; a standard check showed the male had an outstanding warrant from Mesquite Municipal Court.

Found property: Officer recovered a storage box w/misc. tools. Tools were placed into evidence vault for safe keeping.

Suspicious person: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference found drugs. Officers tested the unknown substance. The unknown substance tested negative for illegal drugs and officers disposed of the substance.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a traffic accident on a public street. No injuries were reported. Both drivers exchanged insurance information and left without incident.

Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: Incident documented requested by the R/p. It is reported the ex-wife on Sun Valley Dr. is becoming physical with their children.

Jan. 22:

Suspicious person: An officer responded to a report of a possible fraud.

Jan. 23:

Threatening: Officer responded to a residence reference a threatening call. An information report was completed

Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported and an information report was completed.

Domestic Violence: Officers responded to a Rancho Cir. residence reference a domestic violence. All individuals were separated and an information report was completed.

Panhandling: Officer issued a citation for panhandling to an adult male.

Theft of bicycle: Officer took a report of a stolen bicycle.

Civil dispute: Officers responded to Canyon Dr. residence for a domestic call. The incident was verbal only, no battery occurred. The individuals agreed to separate for the night to allow each other time to calm down.

Jan. 24:

Traffic stop: Detectives conducted a traffic stop and recovered illegal narcotics. Occupants were arrested.

Suspicious person: Officer responded to a report of a gunshot on Hardy Way. A witness statement was gathered and the investigation is ongoing.

Fraud: A report was taken for a check that was cashed fraudulently.

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a violation. The male driver was arrested on several traffic offenses. The male passenger was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Property Damage, non –vandalism: Officers responded to a N. Grapevine Rd. apartment complex for a report of property damage. The investigation is ongoing.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a casino, in reference to a trespass.  An adult female was arrested for trespassing.

Jan. 25:

Suspicious person:  Officers responded to a Sun Valley Dr. residence on a report of a missing person.

Controlled substance problem: Officers conducted a traffic stop for an expired temporary tag. One male was taken into custody for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Burglary: Officer responded to a local residence for a report of a burglary. Officer took a report and scene was processed for evidence. Investigation is ongoing.

Wanted person: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a domestic argument in one of the hotel rooms. One male was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Domestic trouble: Officer went to a report of a domestic battery. One adult female was arrested for domestic battery.

Traffic accident w/ damage: Officer responded to a report of a single vehicle accident in the parking lot of a local park. Minor damage sustained to the vehicle and no injuries.

Jan. 26:

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, for a traffic violation.  The driver was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a two car non-injury accident.

Theft from vehicle: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department to take a report of a theft from vehicle that occurred in the parking lot of a local business.

Lost property: Officer received a report of a lost wallet. The investigation is ongoing.

Lost Property: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. hotel for a report of lost property.

Theft: A report was taken for a stolen wallet. Officers gathered information and the investigation is ongoing.

Jan. 27:

Theft from vehicle: Officers responded to a W. Hafen Ln. business on a report of a possible burglary. Officers located two juveniles on private property attempting to enter vehicles. Both juveniles were issued citations and returned to their parents.

Theft: Officers went to a report of shoplifting at a W. Pioneer Blvd. store. A written statement was gathered and the investigation is ongoing.

Controlled substance problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation.

Following a police K-9 sniff, the passenger was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The driver was also arrested for traffic offenses and drug paraphernalia.

Robbery: Officers responded to business parking lot reference an armed robbery without injuries.  Officers took a description of the suspects and vehicle and attempted to locate them.  Detectives were called to the location and took over the investigation.
