Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 174 total incidents in the blotter:

Nov. 26:
Property damage, non-vandalism: Officer responded to a Kitty Hawk Dr. residence for a report of a property damage. One male subject was issued a citation for damaging a motor vehicle and released with a court date.
Wanted person: Officer responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Shade Tree Ln. Upon further investigation it was determined that the vehicle was loaned to an acquaintance and not stolen. Officer was also advised that the complainant had an active warrant for their arrest.
Threatening: An officer responded to the Mesquite Police Department reference a report of threatening. An information report was completed.
Welfare check: An officer responded to a Topaz Ln. residence for a welfare check.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officer responded to a two vehicle collision. A report was taken and one citation was issued.
Nov.27:
Trespassing: An officer responded to a Mesquite Springs Dr. residence on a report of a trespass. An information report was completed.
Verbal disturbance IP W/gun: Officers responded to a report of a verbal dispute on Colleen Ct. Officers spoke to all parties involved and it was determined to be a misunderstanding.
Found property: An officer completed a found property report. A wallet was located and booked into evidence for safe keeping.
Fighting: Officers responded to a fight in progress call. On arrival every one left the area, except the one individual who was later arrested.
Wanted person: An adult male was arrested for two (2) active warrants. He has also been charged with possession of Drug paraphernalia and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.
Nov. 28:
Wanted person: Officer made contact with an adult female who had four Bench Warrants for her arrest. Female was taken into custody and transported to MDC.
Theft: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business regarding a theft. One adult male was taken into custody.
Civil matter: An officer responded to the lobby in reference to a civil matter, involving possible threatening texts.
Lost property: An officer received a report of a lost identification card.
Trespassing: Officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino on a trespass violator. Subject was issued a citation and released with a court date.
Animal bite: An officer responded to a residence where an animal problem had occurred.
Theft: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. store for a report of petit larceny. Officers located the offender. The investigation revealed the offender had methamphetamine on her person. The offender was arrested for the narcotics.
Lost property: Police received a report of a lost item that fell out of a vehicle. A report was taken and the lost item was documented.
Found property: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a found property report. The bike was placed in safe keeping.
Nov. 29:
Burglary: Officers responded to a Long Iron Ln. residence on a report of a burglary.
Minor possessing/consuming: Officer made a stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense. One adult male was cited for denied license. One adult female was cited for open container of alcohol.
Miscellaneous CAD call record: Officer was dispatched to a Pulsipher Ln. residence reference an alleged assault.
Controlled substance problem: An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was cited and released for possession of marijuana (under 21 years old) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Person on foot: Officer stopped a male on a bike for equipment violation. Dispatch confirmed he had a warrant and was arrested.
Nov. 30:
Property damage, non-vandalism: Officer responded to a report of property damage at a Falcon Ridge Pkwy commercial building. Officer observed a window that had been broken by a rock. Investigation is ongoing.
K9 Search: Mesquite Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic related violation. The driver was issued a citation.
Found property: Officer responded to a Turtleback Rd. business for a report of found property. Officer took custody and booked it in until owner could be located.
Wanted person: A Detective located an adult female who had two outstanding Mesquite Municipal Court warrants.
Wanted person: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a minor traffic violation. Driver of the vehicle was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Dec. 1:
Wanted person: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino reference a trespassing incident. Officers contacted and arrested to individuals on bench warrants.
Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop for a minor traffic violation. Stolen property was recovered during a consent search.
Civil matter: Officer handled a civil complaint between landlord/tenant.
Lost property: Officers were called to a residence reference a missing firearm and Officers entered the firearm into NCIC.
Person on foot: Officers made contact with two suspicious males at an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino. One male was taken into custody for drug paraphernalia.
Traffic violation: Officer observed a driver talking on cell phone without hands free device. The adult male had a history of failing to appear and was arrested for driving on suspended license and cell phone.
Controlled substance problem: Officers conducted a traffic stop. The driver was cited and released for smoking marijuana in a moving vehicle.
Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving vehicle. The driver was arrested for open container of alcohol, no driver’s license, suspended registration and the traffic infraction.
Dec. 2:
DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense. The driver, an adult male subject, was taken into custody for DUI-Alcohol (1st offense) and traffic offenses.
Theft: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business reference a theft. An adult female was arrested for shoplifting and all stolen items were returned.
Reckless driver: Officers responded to a report of a reckless driver. One male was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
Suspicious person: A female adult request to speak with officers about a possible vehicle theft by her boyfriend. It was determined the vehicle was not stolen and the female was not the registered owner.
TPO violation: A male adult violated an extended temporary protection order. The male was located after a short period and was arrested.
Trespassing: Officer responded to a trespass at a local business. One adult female was cited and released.
Found person: Officers responded to a local neighborhood on a report of an autistic toddler running down the street. The guardians were located and the child returned home safely.
Suspicious person: Officer responded to a report of an adult male attempting to break into their Patrol vehicles outside of a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino. The officers located the male and subsequently placed him under arrest, for injuring or tampering with a motor vehicle.
