JL Bowler fifth grade classes said goodbye to being big men and women on campus. They are trading in their “top of the class ladder” status to begin all over again. They may be starting at the bottom rung but in middle school but they will go forth well prepared for the climb back up because of those days spent at JL Bowler.
The promotion ceremony began with the usual Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem then the awards. Awards were offered for Student Council, Art, PTO Yearbook, music, Geography, Physical Fitness, Bookworm, Perfect attendance, excellent citizenship, Honor roll, President’s Educational Excellence, the Principal’s award and the Give Me Liberty Program offered by the Exchange Club of Mesquite.
After the impressive number of awards were handed out, Principal Christopher Jenkins, Assistant Principal Vanessa Moreno-Solis, Arica Cook, Kelle Sudweeks, Lucy Weinrich and Lynette Leavitt presented their newly promoted fifth grade classes
This future class of 2024 has been given a great start from leaders that put their efforts into training new leaders.
With a supportive staff, parental guidance and long-term lessons from programs like “Give me Liberty”, and “The Leader in Me” which give the kids the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in life, the fifth grade students will move ahead confident and well prepared.
