It was another successful year for the 10th Annual St. Paddy’s Day Pub Crawl in Mesquite. Thanks to organizers Kathleen Goode, Bob Kirkwood, Todd Jonas and the owners of five local bars, 138 turned out for the festivities with lots of smiles and enthusiasm. “It was a fantastic day,” said Goode. Local businessman Dennis Hangey resumed his role in the walk as well, playing his bagpipe at each stop and along the route at major intersections and crossings. “I wake up with some aches and pains,” said Hangey, “but by the time we’re done with the walk, they’re all gone.” Participants met up at Peggy Sue’s, walked to the Eureka, the Virgin River Bowling Alley Bar, back to Peggy Sue’s, then to the Golden West before concluding at Stateline Casino, where many of them enjoyed a traditional St. Patrick’s day lunch of corn beef and cabbage with lots of fixings.
