Lady Dawg Savannah Price continued her hot hand at the plate Tuesday March 14 stroking four singles and pitching in relief to lead the Dawgs to a 17-8 win over Western High School Warriors. First inning blues continued to haunt the Bulldogs as they gave up three runs in the first on only one hit. The Bulldogs clawed back into the game with one run in the second, one in the third and six in the fourth to take an 8-3 lead. Two hit batters and a single by Price got the Dawgs rolling. Bulldog starter Calee Clem ran into a little control problem in the bottom of the fourth forcing a pitching change. Price stopped the potential rally. The Warriors closed to within one run 8-7 in the bottom of the fifth. The Bulldogs added six more runs in the top of the sixth and three in the seventh to win comfortably 17-8. Leading the Dawgs offense were Price with four hits followed by Shalee Hafen and Clem with two hits each. Clem had four runs batted in for the Dawgs. The Bulldogs host Sunrise Mountain Thursday at 3:30 pm.
