Police Blotter Feb. 26 – March 4, 2017

Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 175 total incidents in the blotter:

Feb. 26:

Battery on Person: Officers responded to an intoxicated male lying in a parking lot on E. Pioneer Blvd. Male was transported to the hospital for evaluation and refused to cooperate with the investigation. No further action.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a report of damage to a 5th wheel trailer on Turtleback Rd. Officer observed a window had been broken out however entry had not been made. Officer took photos and incident report was created.

Stolen Vehicle: Police took a report for a stolen UTV and trailer on Riverside Rd.

Traffic Stop: An officer responded to a call of a possible trespass of property. The suspect was later located and arrested for unrelated traffic charges and breach of peace.

Wanted person: An officer responded to the detention center lobby for a male adult with an active warrant.

Wanted person: A male subject was arrested for an active felony arrest warrant on Sandhill Blvd. He was transported to the Mesquite Detention Center where he awaited transportation to Clark County Detention Center.

 

Feb. 27:

Suspicious Person: Officer responded to the area of Marilyn Parkway on a report of an unknown male yelling and being belligerent. Officer contacted the subject who refused to cooperate and was eventually arrested for obstruction.

Wanted person: An officer located an adult female with an active arrest warrant on W. Mesquite Blvd.; she was taken into custody.

Traffic Violation: Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle on W. Mesquite Blvd. who refused to stop. The vehicle fled into Arizona.

 

Feb. 28:

Trespassing: Highly intoxicated male was asked to leave a local casino and refused. The male was trespassed and again refused to leave and caused a scene by yelling profanities. Employees signed a complaint.

Fraud: Police took a report for fraudulent use of a credit card.

Agency Assistance: Officer responded to Riverside Rd. on a report of threatening. Officer spoke with parties involved and an incident was created.

Found Property: Officer responded to a Fountain View Ln. park regarding found property. Officer recovered a bicycle which was placed into evidence for safe keeping.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a Pinnacle Ct. resident where the person wanted to report property damage to her garage door. The damage done was reported as vandalism.

Traffic Stop: An Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

 

March 1:

Intoxicated person: A male subject was arrested for injury to property and transported to the local detention center and booked on the aforementioned charge.

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer responded to a Desert Rose Way residence reference a stolen vehicle. A report was taken and the vehicle was listed in NCIC as stolen. The vehicle was later recovered with damage.

Property damage, non-vandalism: Officer responded to a maintenance building on Conestoga Pkwy. for a report of property damage and theft. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a report of property damage accident on Sidewinder Dr. & Falcon Ridge Pkwy. Officer took the report and located the driver involved who was issued a traffic citation.

Wanted person: Mesquite detectives located and arrested an adult male on Riverside Dr. with an active felony arrest warrant for sexual exploitation from another state.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officer is conducting an investigation reference the theft of Social Security funds.

Phone Harassment: An officer responded to assist a citizen in documenting an ongoing dispute.

Found Property: Officer responded to a Reber Dr. residence reference a found bicycle. Officer located the bicycle, transported it to the Justice facility, and booked it in as found property.

Controlled substance problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on the interstate for a minor traffic offense. The male and female occupants were arrested for possession of narcotics and a warrant.

Domestic trouble: Officers responded to a Casa Grande Cir. residence reference a domestic dispute. After investigation the individuals agreed to separate.

 

March 2:

Wanted person: Officers contacted a suspicious male on N Sandhill Blvd. who was arrested for a failure to appear warrant.

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer responded to a Canal St. residence for a report of vandalism.

Lost Property: An officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence reference lost property.

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to a disturbance at a Mesquite Springs Dr. residence. After an investigation one male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a suspended registration. The adult male driver was in possession of an open container of alcohol. The driver was issued several citations.

Controlled substance problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation on S. Grapevine Rd. & Second South St. The driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses.

 

March 3:

Controlled substance problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation on W. Old Mill Rd. & Woodbury Ln. The adult male driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia and was issued a citation.

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer took a report in reference to some property damage to city property on W. Old Mill Rd. & Woodbury Ln.

Lost property: An officer responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business reference lost property.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a private property accident on E. Pioneer Blvd. Upon arrival the driver was placed in custody for misdemeanor drug-related charges and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Controlled substance problem: Detectives conducted a traffic stop on Riverside Rd.; traffic stop resulted in one person being arrested for possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Property damage, non-vandalism: An officer responded to the Mesquite Recreational Center for a report of property damage.

Controlled substance problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. The male driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, an open container of alcohol and a traffic offense.

Controlled substance problem: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for minor equipment violation on Mesa Blvd. During the traffic stop, the adult male driver was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. A female passenger was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The male and female were arrested.

Found Property: An officer was dispatched to a Mesquite Springs Dr. address, in reference to a found property call.

DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation on Falcon St. & Eagle St. The adult male driver was arrested for DUI-Alcohol.

 

March 4:

Suspicious person: Officers responded to a Riverside R. residence in reference to a family argument.

TPO violation: A report was taken for a violation of a court order on Turtle Cv.
