The Virgin Valley High School Lady Bulldogs got off to an easy start in their Bulldog Invitational Tournament (BIT) Friday night with a ho-hum 41-18 win over an overmatched Pahranagat Valley Panther squad. Seven Bulldogs scored as the Bulldogs did not allow the Panthers to get into the game. Bernice Fiso led the Dawgs with 9 points and controlled the boards. Abbie Barnum and Brianna Todd added 8 points each for the Dawgs.

The Bulldogs Jumped out to a 15-0 lead before the Panthers scored their first points of the game. The Panthers outscored the Dawgs 9-7 in the second period but still trailed the Dawgs 22-11. Todd had all her 8 points in the first half.

The Bulldogs shut out the Panthers in the third period 10-0 behind a full court man to man defense. The Bulldogs mopped up the floor in the final period for the easy 41-18 win. The Bulldogs face Mojave Saturday at 1pm. The Rattlers defeated Dixie (Utah) 45-41. Moapa Valley defeated Wells 49-25 in the first game of the day and tournament favorite Panguitch (Utah) was challenged early by Pahrump Valley before pulling away 40-28 with a smothering second half defense.
