Mesquite Fire & Rescue submits the following call statistics for the week of 11/7/16 through 11/13/2016:

Total Calls For Service: 50*

911 Transports: 20

Non Transports: 13

Inter-facility Transports: 11

FIRE LOG:

11/8/2016

  • E-11, R-11  Responded to a 2 vehicle accident on First North.  Both drivers refused medical attention.  Fire Crews cleaned up street to allow continued flow of traffic and left scene with Mesquite PD.

11/10/2016
  • A-Shift performed fire drills at all 3 local schools.

11/12/2016
  • E-11 Responded to the area of West Hafen Lane and Riverside Rd for a report of smoke in the area.  It was determined that the smoke was from controlled burns in Arizona.

11/13/16

  • E-11 Responded to report of smoke on W. Hafen Ln.  Upon leaving station noticed odor of smoke.  Again appeared to be coming from controlled burns in Arizona.  No source of smoke found in Mesquite.

Non Transports include: Patient refusals, lift assists, patient deceased at scene, no patient found, no incident found, Incidents handled by other agencies.

FIRE LOG:

11/1/2016

  • E-11, R-31  Responded to a vehicle that had struck a building on West Pioneer.  Arrived to find that a vehicle had indeed struck a pillar of the building.  No injuries and minimal damage to structure.

  • E-31, R-31, R-12 Responded to a vehicle rollover in the Falcon Ridge roundabout.   No injuries.  Arrived to find a trailer on its side and diesel fuel leak.  Contained fuel spill and left scene with NHP and Mesquite PD.

11/4/2016

  • E-11, E-31 Responded to Virgin Valley High School for a Smoke Alarm in an occupied school.  Arrived to find no visible smoke or fire but with the school evacuated.  Reported that burnt food had set off a smoke alarm.   Fire Crews confirmed no ongoing emergency, reset system, and allowed students back in the school.
