Three players played very good rounds of golf at Falcon Ridge on Tuesday, Oct. 18. Tim Miller went this route 35-41-76 with three birdies. Paul LeVan had the best rounds going 37-39 with birdies on one, eight, ten and twelve. Bubba Petrick shot a third route going 36-40. That first handicap hole once again decided the overall winner and that was Miller with a par.

Russ Clark firing a blistering 38-42-82 earned first place low net with a 62. Petrick was rewarded with second low net of 64 and LeVan third at net 66. A three-way tie for fourth low net between Tom Durenberger (86), Dick Swayne (83) and Bill Irace (81) at net 67. Durenberger earned that 4th place with a very nice birdie. Fifth went to Swayne as he shot par bogey and Irace par double for 6th. Welcome back snowballer Frank Vandeweghe.

The weather couldn’t have been any better on Thursday, Oct. 20 as the MMGA members teed it up at the Palms. Tim Miller and Bubba Petrick repeated their scores of Tuesday with both players firing 76’s. Miller went 38-38 with two birdies and Petrick laid down 39-37 with two birdies. Petrick won the title outright recording a par, par bogey and Miller par, par double bogey.

Dick Swayne continued his fine play of 40-41 and a net 65 to win first low net by one shot. The two Tim’s, Bergstrom and Miller, tied for second low net at 66 and once again Miller’s double bogey on the third handicap hole handed Bergstrom second place. Fourth low net went to Tom Durenberger (85) and net 67. Bill Irace (81) and David Shaw (89) were tied for 5th. Both players parred the first handicap hole but Irace’s triple on the second hole dropped him into the sixth spot. Welcome back snowballer Roger “Packer’s” Mueller.
