The Mesquite Police Department invites all to participate in their 10th annual Trunk or Treat event. The event will be held on Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will be held in the Oasis parking garage on W. Mesquite Blvd.

“Right now we are looking for business who want to set up a decorated Halloween trunk and handout candy or treats to the kids,” said Detective Sgt. John Woods who is in charge of this year’s event. “Businesses are welcome to place signage around their trunks as long as it is secondary to the Halloween decorations,” he said. The Department is also accepting donations of bagged candy from residents and businesses to hand out at the event.

This is the 10th year the Police Department has sponsored Trunk or Treat. The event was previously held at the Mesquite Rec Center but was relocated to the Oasis parking garage last year in order to accommodate more “trunks.”

For information on participating contact Detective Sgt. John Woods at 702-346-5262 ext. 6073 or send an email to Candy donations can be dropped off at 695 Mayan Circle.
