The Mesquite Police Department would like to invite everyone to Mesquite Night Out this coming Wednesday, Sept. 21. The event will kick off at 5:20 p.m. with a procession of emergency vehicles leaving the Oasis parking lot and traveling to the West Field at the Rec Center. A helicopter landing will kick off the evening’s events at 5:30 p.m.

The goal of Mesquite Night Out is to bring our community and our public safety agencies closer together through crime prevention and drug prevention awareness, generate support and participation in local anti-crime efforts as well as strengthen our neighborhoods and police-community partnerships.

There will be entertainment, information booths, activities and complimentary hot dogs provided by the Elks Lodge.

The Mesquite Police Department and the Clark County School District Police will have a pedal car course and Mercy Air will allow folks to enter their helicopter.  Mesquite Fire and Rescue will entertain the crowd with fire prevention activities.  More than 20 non-profit agencies from throughout the community will be present to promote community education and outreach programs.
