Police Blotter June 26-July 2, 2016

Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 143 total incidents in the blotter:

June 26:

Fighting IP: Officers were called to a fight outside of an El Salvadorian restaurant on W. Pioneer Blvd. The mayhem had stopped and the people involved left the area prior to Police arrival. Investigations lead to the names of the participants. Investigation continues.

Theft: Officers received a report of a theft of livestock. A written statement was gathered and the investigation is ongoing.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism:  An Officer responded to a report of property damage, to a parked vehicle on Riverside Rd. Information was gathered and a report was taken.

Abandoned Vehicle: A vehicle was found abandon on the side of the road.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: A vehicle stolen from the City of Mesquite was located in The City of Las Vegas. Vehicle owner was notified of vehicle’s recovery and location.

Trespassing IP: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. local casino on a report of someone trespassing.

Theft: Officers received a report of a theft of livestock. A written statement was gathered and the investigation is ongoing.

Minor Possessing/Consuming:  Officers responded to a report of juveniles drinking alcohol on Riverside Rd. Two juveniles were cited and released to their parents.

June 27: 

Domestic Trouble:  An Officer responded to Mesa View Hospital, reference a report of a domestic situation. Information was received and the incident is under investigation.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: An officer responded to a the police department lobby in reference to a civil matter resulting from a divorce.

Found Property: An identification card was found in a Mayan Circle park, the owner was not able to be contacted.

June 28:

Disorderly Conduct IP: Officers took an intoxicated female into custody for breach of peace. The female was transported to Mesquite Detention Center and booked.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: Officers were contacted by Las Vegas Metro and notified of a recovered stolen vehicle out of Mesquite. LVMPD has a suspect in custody and requested we notify the owner of the vehicle about the recovery. LVMPD also provided an incident number in case follow-up needed to be conducted by Mesquite detectives.

Graffiti: Officer responded to a Jensen Dr. neighborhood on a report of damaged property.

Theft: An Officer took a report of a stolen cell phone. Information received concerning a possible suspect and the matter is being investigated.

Theft: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. Hotel on a report of a theft.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to the police station to take a report regarding threats.

Wanted person:   An officer made contact with an adult female who had an active warrant.  The female was taken into custody without incident.

June 29:

Sexual Assault: Officer responded to Adobe Dr. on a report of a rape. The on call detective responded and took over the investigation.

Found Property: Mesquite Officer responded to a Hillside Dr. business reference a found wallet.

Domestic Trouble: Officer responded to a Mesquite Springs Dr. residence for a report of a possible domestic violence incident. After investigation one female subject was taken into custody for domestic battery.

Keep The Peace: Officers responded to a Mayan Circle address for a keep the peace call.

June 30:

Verbal Dispute IP: Officers responded to a Reber Dr/ residence in reference to verbal dispute.

Trespassing IP: Officers were dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino, in reference to a trespass violator. An adult male was cited and released for trespassing.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An Officer responded on a property damage report.

Fraud: Officer responded to the lobby of the police department for a report of a fraud. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.

Threatening: An Officer took a report for a Facebook argument. The reporting party was advised to block the person and never respond to them.

Domestic Violence IP: Officers were dispatched to a Shade Tree Ln. residence, in reference to a domestic in progress.  An adult male subject was taken into custody for domestic battery/violence, resisting arrest, and battery on a police officer.

Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: An officer was dispatched to a First South St. address, in reference to a traffic accident with injuries.  An adult female subject ran her vehicle into a parked and unoccupied vehicle, sustaining minor injuries.

July 1: 

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: Mesquite Officer located and recovered a stolen trailer.

Lost Property: Mesquite Officer responded to a Mayan Circle business reference lost property.

Welfare Check: An officer was dispatched to a Charles St. residence, in reference to a welfare check. An adult male subject was found deceased in his residence.

Mental Person: An officer was dispatched to a local hospital, in reference to a person involved in a suspicious circumstance.

July 2:

Suspicious/Person: Officers responded on a suspicious person call at Sun Valley Dr. During the course of the investigation three suspects were arrested on assorted charges.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded on a private property accident. A report was taken.

Weapon Offense: An officer was dispatched to a local hospital, in reference to an accidental discharge of a firearm, which occurred at a local residence and injured the gun owner.
