Wursten.BruceOur loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, Bruce Robert Wursten, 83, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 surrounded by his family in St. George. He was born June 22, 1932 in Southgate, California, the son of John A. and Mary Athelia Wilson Wursten.

Bruce grew up in Riverside, California. After graduating high school, he served his country during the Korean War. He then attended BYU where he met Roberta Manwill, the love of his life. They were married in the LDS Los Angeles Temple June 1, 1956.

With a beautiful voice, Bruce shared his talent with many. He had offers to sing professionally, but because of his devotion for family, chose to use his love of music teaching in the secondary schools in Richfield, Utah for 25 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta; his five children and their spouses: Susan and Walter Nolan, Las Vegas, Nevada; Rob and Janeen Wursten, Mesquite, Nevada; Shirleen and Hans Gardner, Bunkerville, Nevada; Brian and Cristie Wursten, Mesquite, Nevada; Karen and Darren Hyatt, Round Rock, Texas; 25 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; brother, Jack; sister, Linda, and great-grandson Lucas Yee.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Richfield 16th Ward Chapel, 500 East 800 North, where friends may call from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery with military rites.

There will also be a memorial service in Mesquite, Nevada on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Mesquite Stake Center, 100 North Arrowhead Lane, Mesquite, Nevada, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
