Trump’s Triumph by Mike Young, Tuesday’s New York primary just about closed the door on all other Republican candidate’s but Donald Trump. It’s been a long road but the end is nearly in sight.

Ted Cruz has put up a tough fight but he has some potential flaws such as his strong religious position. Religion is important and it helped build our country, yet today it is sad to say there are so many people against strong beliefs that it almost dooms a candidate who stands on the side of God. Also his lack of support from fellow Senators indicates someone that will have a hard time getting things done.

Then there is John Kasich, a last minute candidate from the Republican establishment who they hoped would muddy the waters enough so that Trump would not get the election. His years inside the political system gave him so many insider friends and his good record was a good choice but not for the president when people wanted change. He would be the last one to change anything significantly. Right now it seems the other candidates have been pretty much rejected by the voters. True some might make great Vice Presidents but not for being selected over winning over the people’s choice in some back room deal. Sure there have been some rumblings by old time Republicans about an open Convention but to defy the will of the people would signal the end for the Republican Party.

With one left standing, it seems the only reasonable course of action is to get behind the people’s choice. True for some that will be hard as the old time Republican leadership would certainly lose some of their power and prestige but if Hillary should win, all will be swept away, in any case and they will lose what’s left of the Republican Party.

Next will be a battle royal with a King against a Queen for the greatest prize in politics. The army of Capitalism against those that just want free stuff and socialism. We will see whether our country wants to continue down the road that built us or turn to the left and bleed those that are working to give the masses free stuff.  You can bleed those workers for a while, until those working are bled dry and there is nothing left to take just look at Venezuela.

I hope most will take the other path where people have to work for what they get. That doesn’t mean letting people starve but it may mean no more wide screen T.V. for some unless they want to work for them. No more free cell phones or living higher than the working people. In several states the welfare benefits are around $50,000, can you imagine that, sitting on your back side and collecting that much? That doesn’t even include that its tax free.

Yes, Trump is a wild card, he says things that are “Politically incorrect” but maybe that’s some of what’s wrong with where we are today. He is the only one that will shake things up and make real changes. Those who have it made are worried because they can’t control him. Listen to his kids, and you will hear the truth and it sounds good. If we want to truly revitalize American he may be the last chance.
