A day at the spa can do wonders for our brain by giving us a chance to relax and put the world away for a while. That opportunity lies right in our backyard at the Spa and Salon at CasaBlanca resort hotel casino.
According to Susan Turner, Spa manager, local Mesquite residents can enjoy time at the spa and salon without having to be a hotel guest.
“The best thing about our spa is that it provides a hideaway. It’s not located inside the hotel but rather it is its own little oasis that is amazingly quiet,” Turner said. “People leave so happy. How can you not love that.”
Start by slipping into the outdoor coed pool enclosed within the spa grounds. It’s an amazingly quiet spot without the noise of the regular pool or the surrounding traffic. The pool was remodeled in the summer of 2015 and features a water temperature of 98 degrees in the main area or 102 degrees in the smaller hot tub.
Follow that with your favorite beverage while you linger in the relaxing shaded lounge area that features two canopied tables and chairs. You can even order in lunch much like you would room service.
If the outdoors isn’t what your brain desires then head to the relaxation room and plop down on one of the comfy lounge chairs with a glass of fresh fruit-infused water or hot tea, fresh fruit and soothing music all provided by the spa. You can glance through a magazine, bring your own book or just do nothing.

By now your brain is really starting to enjoy some healthy attention as you enter the eucalyptus coed steam room. Kick back, relax, and let all the tension flow out of your body as the heavenly scents flow through your senses.
Since your body is getting a little jealous of your brain’s day at the spa, treat it to an awesome massage by one of 12 therapists. There are many different types of massages to choose from including the most popular Swedish massage or a European classic facial.
You can finish up your brain healthy session by enjoying a manicure and pedicure at the salon or a haircut and style to send you on your way back to the world. Three aestheticians and two cosmetologists are available in the salon and spa for a full range of services.

provides full day access to the entire spa area. You can still enjoy the spa without a treatment or appointment by paying a $15 facility fee Monday through Friday or $20 on Saturday and Sunday.
Prices range from $30 for a haircut to $65 for a manicure/pedicure to $70 for a 50 minute Swedish massage. Other prices vary according to the service provided.
