On Friday morning, at about 7:05 a.m., Mesquite Police and Mesquite Fire & Rescue responded to W Pioneer Boulevard in front of the Highland Estates entrance to a single vehicle accident involving one female driver.
According to MPD Public Information Officer Quinn Averett, witnesses said that the driver had been swerving in and out of lanes as it headed westbound from the Oasis Boulevard intersection. Averett said that preliminary reports suggest that the driver jumped the median, causing damage to the front of the vehicle as well as to landscaping and a sign.
The driver was transported to Mesa View Regional Hospital in Mesquite with minor injuries. Due to the circumstances of the crash, Averett stated that this incident is being considered as a possible DUI, which would result in charges if proven. The vehicle was towed from the scene by B & B Towing of Mesquite.
Why do you think it’s ok to out stuff on here without knowing full details?
because this is mesquite they dont care about peoples privacy jus more reason for everyone to think people are horrible like no one in there life has made a mistake but no one here cares
We report community news. There was nothing untrue or derogatoy in the information we received and reported…it says being investigated, not charged. If we didn’t “out” people on the news, one very happy family in Idaho would not have been able to claim his million dollar winning lottery ticket…unfortunately with ‘news’you get the good with the bad. We absolutely care about people’s privacy, we didn’t mention the driver’s name or any identifying information other than pics of the car which many people already saw while they were walking, riding by, or otherwise close to the scene, it did happen in public view after all. Very sorry you are upset but not sorry we did our jobs.
