Sprinter-hurdler Abbie Barnum struck gold in the 100 meter dash, 300 meter hurdles and helped the 4X100 meter relay team to a first place finish to help the Dawgs to 125.5 points. Barnum ecked out a .05 second win over teammate Kaydee Bingham in the 100 meters. Barnum won by two plus seconds in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 49.37 seconds. Elisabeth De Leon and Emily Teerlink were the other members of the 4X100 winning relay team.

Bulldog pole-vaulter Dylan Bryant won the event easily also racking up points in the high jump, 100 meter high hurdles and 4X2000 meter relay. Bingham placed second in the 200 meter dash plus a third in the long jump. Markell Ludvigson, Teerlink, De Leon, Mikayla Brotherson and Rachel Cook competed well in multiple events. The Bulldogs missed Bernice Fiso who would have been a favorite in the weights plus all-around athlete Emma Barnum who were at another sporting event. “Our girls finished third, but once we get our team together, we can be really good,” said coach Gary Hartman.

The Bulldogs will host a quad meet on Thursday, March 17 with Western, Moapa Valley and Faith Lutheran competing.
