Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 168 total incidents in the blotter:

Feb. 28:
False Information:  Officers contacted an intoxicated female causing a disturbance outside a Mesa Blvd. casino. The female was arrested for obstructing the investigation.
Trespassing IP:  Officers responded to a local casino and arrested a male for trespassing.
Domestic Violence IP:  officer was dispatched to a Grapevine Rd. apartment complex in reference to a domestic in progress.  An adult female subject and an adult male subject were arrested for domestic battery (1st offense) and ITS drugs.
Hit & Run:  Officers responded to a parking lot on W. Mesquite Blvd. where a hit and run occurred. A report was taken.
Lost Property:  Citizen reports losing rings at a local store parking lot.
Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officer was conducting a traffic stop when he noticed a vehicle on the sidewalk crashed into a light pole on El Dorado Rd.
Feb. 29:
Civil Matter:  Detectives received information regarding a civil incident involving a doctor out of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Suicidal Person:  Officers responded to a S. Grapevine Rd.  business where an adult male was reported to have overdosed on medication.
Civil Matter:  Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Dr. hotel and casino on a reported fraud.  Upon arrival the officer spoke with security staff and determined it was a civil situation.
Minor Possessing/Consuming:  Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Dr. casino reference a minor drinking alcohol. One female was cited and released for minor consumption of alcohol.
Mar. 1:
Theft:  Officer responded to a N. Sandhill Blvd.  grocery store on a reported theft.  Officer obtained statements and surveillance of the incident.  Report was taken and officers are attempting to locate the suspect.
Welfare Check:  An Officer conducted a welfare check on Pulsipher Ln. and found an elderly female subject to be deceased.
Wanted Person:  An officer responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd.  casino in reference to a trespass.  An adult arrest was made for an active warrant.
Found Property:  Personal property was found on Sun Valley Dr. and turned into the police. The items were placed in the police evidence vault.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism:  Officers responded to a vandalism call at a Hardy Way business. Upon arrival it was determined an upset patron threw a rock into the window causing damage to the window.

Verbal Dispute IP:  Officer responded to a report of a disturbance at a Hardy Way business, one male was cited and released for breach of peace.

Mar. 2:

Truancy:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a truant student.

Traffic Stop:  Detective made contact with an adult male with an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the male was arrested and transported to the Mesquite Detention Center without incident.

Mar. 3:

Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded to Topaz Ln. on a domestic battery call. During the investigation Officers arrested the primary physical aggressor.

Driving Under the Influence:   The Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. fast food restaurant parking lot for a report of a possible intoxicated driver who had driven over and was stuck on the curb.  After investigation one male subject was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Citizen Dispute:  Officers responded to a Valley View Dr. residence for a report on a disturbance and child custody issue. A report was taken.

Driving Under the Influence:  Officers responded to the area of a W. Pioneer Blvd. business plaza for a report of a driver. Upon arrival officers located an intoxicated male subject standing outside of his vehicle which was parked on the public roadway. The male was given field sobriety tests and arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Mar. 4:

Traffic Problem:  An officer stopped a vehicle that was stopped for a green light at a Pioneer and Mesa Blvd.  The driver of the vehicle was later arrested for DUI alcohol (2nd offense) and other traffic violations.

Trespassing IP:  Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a report of a trespass violator. A
female subject was arrested for trespass violation.

Truancy:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a truant student.

Citizen Assist:  An Officer took a report for a citizen.

Suspicious/Person:  Officers responded to a report of a suspicious female who was walking in a neighborhood around Whispering Wind Way and Royal Vista Ln. and appeared injured. Officers located the female, who was intoxicated, and were able to get her home. Her injuries were a result of her falling due to her level of intoxication. She was checked and released by rescue.

Traffic accident W/O injury:  Officers responded to a single vehicle property damage accident on Casa Grande Cr.  After an investigation, the female driver was issued a citation.

Mar. 5:

Property Damage, Non Vandalism:  Officer responded to a Riverside Rd. apartment complex on a reported damage to property. Officer observed the left rear tire of the reporting party’s car had been slashed with a unknown sharp object by an unknown person(s).  Officer took photos of the damage and a report was taken.

Found Property:  Officer responded to the Justice Facility on a report of found property. Officer was advised that an unknown person had left two non-functioning cell phones outside the court’s office.  Neither of the phones were able to be charged in an attempt to locate the owner.  Both phones were placed in the vault for safe keeping.

Animal complaint:  Officers responded to a complaint of an excessive barking dog on Eagle St., officers spoke with the owner of the involved dog.

Lost Property:  A citizen reported her wallet was missing and wanted to know if it had been turned into the police department.
