Ronald Belt, age 78 of Mesquite, Nevada passed away March 1, 2016. Ronald was born March 10, 1937 in Denmark, Ohio to Pete and Golda Casto Belt.
Ronald graduated from Mt. Gilead High School in 1955 and then served in the Marine Corp for 2 years. He then returned to Ohio and married Connie Price on September 1, 1961. They resided in Ohio where he was a fuel distributor and a farmer. Ronald and Connie retired in 1999 and moved to Bigfork, Montana. It didn’t matter where Ron was, as he didn’t know a stranger and became friends with everyone. He was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout the US and Canada. He liked to golf, shoot clay birds and spend time with his family, friends and his dogs.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Connie of 54 years; his son, Kipp Belt (Denise); granddaughters, Darcy and Kristen; great granddaughters, Avery, Reese, Peyton and Rion all of Montana; and sister, Marlene Rengert of Texas.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Golda Belt; brother Jake Belt; mother-in-law Lenah Price; and grandson Dustin Drown.
The family would like to thank Mesa View Hospice of Mesquite for the love and care they gave to Ronald.
Family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in memory of Ronald Belt to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their “Guest Book” at www.virginvalleymortuary.com.
Connie and family,
So sorry for your loss.
Dear Connie and family,
We are so sorry about your loss. John started talking about the “olden” days and the escapades that they boys had in Mt. Gilead. We all had to laugh. Fortunately, Ron had a fantastic time in Montana and Nevada. You are in our thoughts.
