Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. This week, there were 127 total incidents in the blotter:

Feb. 14:
Traffic Accident w/ Damage:  Officers responded to a traffic accident on N. Sandhill Dr. with minor property damage, the parties involved exchanged information.
Child Abuse or Neglect:  Officers responded to El Dorado Road in reference to a child left in a vehicle.  A female adult was located in a business and issued a citation.
Feb. 15:
Domestic Violence IP:  Officers responded to a Vineyard Ln residence in reference to a domestic battery, after investigation two adults were taken into custody.
Lost Property:  A woman left cash at register at a local store and was unable to retrieve it. A report for lost property was taken.
Wanted Person:  An officer took a male adult into custody for two active warrants from the Mesquite Municipal Court.
Animal at Large:  Animal Control Officers picked up one male chocolate lab interrupting soccer tournament at Bunkerville Park. Owner was issued citation for Animal at Large.
Feb. 16:
Truancy:  Officers responded to a local school for a truancy.
Fraud: Officer received a report of a fraudulent use of a credit card at a local business.
Trespassing IP:  Officers responded to a Grapevine Rd. apartment building in reference to a trespass violation.
Feb. 17:
Truancy:  Officers responded to a Valley View Dr. school for a truancy.
Theft:  Officers responded to a Pioneer Rd. business for a report of theft. The offender was cited and released.
Fighting IP:  Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a fight in progress.
Feb. 18:
Stolen Vehicle:  Mesquite Officer responded to a Hagens Alley residence reference a report of a stolen vehicle. Information was gathered and the investigation is ongoing.
Vandalism:  Officers responded to a W. First South St.  residence for a report of vandalism to a vehicle. The rear vehicle of an SUV was shattered. No items were reported missing from within the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
Wanted Person:  A male subject was arrested for an active arrest warrant and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.
Traffic Stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Pebble Creek Hts. Dr. due to the driver having several felony charges pending. The driver was identified and arrested for those charges without incident.
Citizen Assist:  Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence on a report of a missing 2 year old girl. Officers arrived and located the child asleep in a closet of her home. The child found in good health and good circumstances.
Traffic Violation:  Officer responded for a report of damaged property on Admiral Benbow Way involving a vehicle and a photographer’s camera. No citations were issued.
Trespassing IP:  Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino and arrested a male for trespassing.
Traffic Stop:  An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on W. Hafen Ln.  The driver was later arrested for two misdemeanor warrants and traffic offenses.
Feb. 19:
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  Officers arrested a male who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance:  An officer was dispatched to a S. Arrowhead Ln. residence, in reference to a suspicious person.  The reporting person stated a juvenile was knocking on his door and seemed to be intoxicated.  The juvenile was later taken into custody for minor in consumption of alcohol and transported to the Mesquite Justice Facility.  The juvenile was cited and released to his mother.
Theft:  Report taken for theft of property at a local convenience store.
Found Property:  A citizen found a wallet on the freeway and turned it into the police station. The owner of the wallet was identified but unable to be contacted. The wallet was booked as found property.
Lost Property:  Report taken for a lost cell phone. The owner was provided an incident report, as requested by the cell phone provider.
Theft:  Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Rd. business reference a report of stolen property. The suspect was located and arrested.
Hit & Run:  Report was taken for a hit and run non-injury accident on Pioneer Blvd.
Burglary:  Officers responded to a Chaparral Dr. residence reference theft from their garage. Investigation is ongoing.
Found Property:  Mesquite Officer responded to a local public business reference found property. The owner of the property was located and will receive the property via mail.
Civil Matter:  Grandparents had guardianship questions reference 3 juvenile grandchildren.
Traffic Stop:  Officers arrested a male on Hillside Dr. who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.
