The Falcon Ridge Golf Group had a great outing Feb. 13, especially star member Roger Ingbretson, who recorded his first hole in one, acing the par three fifth hole. Most members stayed after to help him celebrate at the club house.

“We didn’t know what that cost him, but he still had a smile on at the end,” said Jim Buttler. “Roger didn’t say what club he used (for the hole in one) so we figure it was between a wedge and a driver. Congrats to him!”

The tournament’s low gross honors went to Jim Olson for his fine 70. First low net was awarded to Ron Nickle for his 64 with second low net going to Ben Bishop and his 65. Third and fourth place went to Jim Dick and Randy Perry while Ingbretson rounded out with fifth place. All three players had tied with 67,

Ingbretson was the man of the day, however, as he also showed how important the iron shots are to the golf game by winning a closest to the pin award on holes #2 and #5. Alex Churchich took honors for closest on hole #8, Buttler on #14 and Olson on #17.
Skins for the day went to Ingbretson’s ace on hole #5, Nickle on #6, Churchich on #8, Scott Jones on hole #11 and Olson took #17 with his birdie.
