On Thursday, Jan. 21 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum will host a workshop on how to write your family history through the eyes of a child. The event will be held in the art classroom next to the Museum.

If you have thought about writing a personal history and don’t know where to start, this may be the answer. Local historian, author and artist, Geraldine Zarate, will lead the group through a unique and easy way of sharing with young children your upbringing and family stories. Participants will start with their first memories and form a collection of stories that can easily be turned into a small book for grandchildren to read.

There is no cost for this activity. Materials will be provided at the workshop.

The Museum sincerely appreciates Ms. Zarate generously giving of her time.
