It was the most calm championship clinching win for the Bulldog volleyball team Tuesday night in the Dawg House. Everyone in the gym knew that winless Desert Pines had little chance of upsetting the Lady Dawgs. The Dawgs won the third set of an earlier match this year with the Jaguars. The match ended with the Dawgs on top 25-10. Bulldog coach Lori Barnum rested some of her starters for the championship clinching match. The Dawgs had won the previous two sets 25-8 and 25-8.

In the night’s scheduled game the Lad Dawgs easily defeated the Jaguars 25-5, 25-11 and 25-10. Leading the way for the Dawgs was standout player Bernice Fiso with 8 kills, 2 digs and 3 aces. Also contributing to the blowout win were, Janella Fiso with 14 assists and 6 digs, Emma Barnum with 5 kills and 4 assists and Caitlyne Spute with 5 aces.

The win propels the Dawgs into a home game against, the Sunset Conference fourth place team, Pahrump Valley Tue. Nov. 3. Faith Lutheran leads the 1-A Sunset Conference with a 12-0 league record. The Crusaders and the Dawgs are considered favorites to meet in the 1-A Regional Championship game.
