It will be a year as of December 22 since Good Times Yogurt & More opened at 570 W Pioneer Boulevard Suite 100 and the road has been unexpectedly bumpy according to owner Barry Reisig, who currently resides in Las Vegas. As a former military agent, he prides his business on the fact that no matter how slow it might be, the shop will not close earlier than their normal hours.GoodTimes-10-15-15-01 GoodTimes-10-15-15-02

The quaint shop experienced a burst of business when they first opened, but it tapered off once snowbirds left town in May.

“It doesn’t make sense,” Reisig told the MLN. “With the weather here, you would think the summer would be our better season… We try to be there for everything that’s going on.”

His son, Sonny, who manages the establishment with his wife, showed a recent fundraiser for a local elementary school that was trying to raise money to buy new laptops. “We were supposed to give 15% of everything we made off of orders that presented this coupon,” Sonny said. “We got maybe 12 of them, out of what should have been more, the entire school.”

I love it here,” Barry said. “We’d love to live and work here full time.”

Good Times & More is also dedicated to staying competitive with other markets for the products that they offer. “Our sandwiches are a bit higher, but they’re not even comparable to Subway. We use top of the line products.” And as for the yogurt, Reisig says that his prices match those of St. George and are even a penny less than most in Las Vegas.

His favorite product is the Turkey Sandwich, which is a foot-long sandwich with turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce and more on special bread. “They’re to die for,” he said.

If yogurt and sandwiches don’t seem to be enough to choose from, Good Times also offers coffee, tea, soup, smoothies and a comfortable atmosphere, both inside and outside, every day, Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. They also offer catering for birthday parties.
