Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

July 27:

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference possible domestic violence. One individual was taken into custody for a misdemeanor warrant.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to W Mesquite Blvd to assist casino security with suspicious items left in a guest room.

Theft: An officer responded to the police department lobby reference a stolen phone. A report was taken for the theft.

Theft: Police responded to a shoplifting call at a W Pioneer Blvd store. One adult male was issued a citation for petit larceny and released with a court date.

Vandalism: Mesquite Officer responded to a Terrace Dr residence reference property damage.

Information was gathered and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

Transport: Transported 1 WMA to Hartwell Family Practice for medical consult and returned to MDC without incident.

Vandalism: Officers responded to a W Hafen Ln mechanic shop reference vandalism. A report was taken.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Officers responded to a Pulsipher Ln apartment complex reference a hit and run. After a brief investigation officers located and cited the driver who left the accident.

Welfare Check: Mesquite Officer was dispatched to a Long Iron Ln residence reference a welfare check regarding a possible overdose. Mesquite Fire and Rescue transported the person to Mesa View Hospital.

Trespassing IP: Officer responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino for a report of a trespass violator. A female was later arrested for trespassing.

July 28:

Curfew Violation: Officers responded to a W First South St residence for a report of a curfew violation. A report was taken.

Hit & Run: An officer responded to a property damage hit and run accident on Clark St.

Dead Body: Officers responded to a dead body at Mesa Blvd & El Dorado Rd, an adult male was found deceased by his girlfriend.  An investigation was started.

Vandalism: An officer responded to the police department lobby reference vandalism to a vehicle. A report was taken for the crime.

Civil Dispute: Officers responded to a family dispute on Riverside Rd after an investigation it was found to be a verbal only dispute.

Lost Property: Officers spoke with a male who requested to inform police that he had lost his wallet at a local casino approximately one month ago.

July 29:

Dead Body: Officer responded to a call of a deceased elderly person on Plateau Rd.

Phone Harassment: Report taken on Mesa Blvd of annoying and threatening telephone calls from a relative.

Fraud: Report was taken for a counterfeit bill on W Pioneer Blvd.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Vehicle accident on W Pioneer Blvd private property damage only.

Welfare Check: Police checked on well-being of adult person on Riverside Rd. Adult person requested medical assistance.

Civil Dispute: Officers responded to a family dispute on Mesquite Springs Dr. Parties had separated prior to arrival. Verbal argument only.

Citizen Assist: Courtesy report taken for credit card fraud of another jurisdiction.

Domestic Violence IP: Officer took a report of a domestic dispute on W Mesquite Blvd, along with property damage.

Stolen Vehicle: Officer took a report of a stolen scooter on Eagle St.

Lost Property: A female reported she lost her wallet while at a W Riverside Rd grocery store.

July 30:

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on an unregistered vehicle on I-15 SB. A wants check revealed both subjects have a active felony warrant. The subjects were arrested for the warrants and transported to the detention center.

Theft: An officer was dispatched to a N Sandhill Blvd store, in reference to a theft.

Theft: Report taken of employee stealing from W Pioneer Blvd employer. Adult male was issued multiple misdemeanor citations for petit larceny.

July 31:

Domestic Trouble: An adult female responded to the police department lobby to report a domestic battery on W Hafen Ln. An officer’s report was completed and the investigation is ongoing.

Minor Gambling: Police responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a report of minor gambling. An adult under the age of 21 was issued a citation for minor gambling, and released with a court date.

Theft: Officer took a report of petit larceny.

Trespassing IP: Male subject was arrested for trespassing on W Pioneer Blvd.

Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: Officers responded to Turtle Shell Ln & Tortuga Wy reference a motorcycle accident. The motorcycle operator was transported to the hospital for injuries received from the accident. An officer’s report was completed, and the accident investigation is underway.

August 1:

Assault W/Gun: Police responded to the hospital for a report of an assault which took place at a W Mesquite Blvd casino. Witnesses provided information on possible suspects, and one male adult was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and other charges. The investigation is ongoing.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Officer took a report of for a private property accident on W Pioneer Blvd.

Theft: An officer was dispatched to a W Mesquite Blvd residence, in reference to a theft.

Fraud: An officer responded to a W Pioneer Blvd pharmacy for a suspicious phone call.

Theft: Officer responded to a Heather Ct residence for a report of a theft from the residence. Report was taken and investigation is ongoing.

Disorderly Conduct: Officers responded to a report of a possible domestic violence incident in progress at a W Mesquite Blvd casino. After investigation it was determined that the incident was not a domestic. Female subject was taken into custody for breach of peace.

Wanted Person: Officers made contact with a male subject who had warrant for his arrest on W Mesquite Blvd. Male subject was arrested on the warrant.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to a Mesa Blvd casino for a property damage report. A male subject was issued a citation for property damage.

Battery on Person: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino for a report of a battery. A female was issued a citation for battery and released with a court date.

Domestic Violence IP: Officers responded to a Moss Dr apartment complex for a report of a male subject causing a disturbance. After investigation, a male subject was taken into custody for domestic violence.
