The Job Fair Committee gathered on Thursday, July 9 to discuss the future of the successful event that was held earlier this year.
Chaired by George Gault of Mesquite Regional Business, Inc, those who attended determined that Monday, September 21, 2015 would be an ideal date for the event. Christian Adderson, a representative from Mesquite Gaming noted that the Grand Ballroom at the CasaBlanca Casino would be available that date. “If we need more room, the Event Center Tent is also available,” he said.
With over 500 people attending the last event with short notice, the numbers for this fair are anticipated to be much higher, as are the number of employers available to find their next valuable employee.
The event will be open to applicants from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. No early entry will be granted, so that the employers will be prepared to focus on those applying for positions. All employers will be required to have their space set up by 10:30 a.m.
Another change to this event is that there will be a $75 fee per employer booth to help cover the cost of the location, which is already heavily discounted, and to cover materials and advertising costs. However, the low fee will only be available until August 21. Employers who register later than that will be required to pay $100 fee for late registration.
Talks of a Business Expo and Resume Writing Class are also in the works for pre-event preparation. Those details will be released as soon as they are finalized.
