The Mesquite Fine Art Gallery is featuring Karron Knight as Artist of the Month for July.  Her art will be displayed at the gallery June 29 – July 25.  The gallery, 15 West Mesquite Blvd., is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.MLN-Artistjun25-15

The theme for July “It’s My Birthday” and our Artist of the Month is not only a fringe junkie but a bead junkie with a bit of Eclectic thrown in for good measure.

Karron Knight, an award winning beading artist is bringing her love of fringe and beading for an anything goes collection for your wardrobe pleasure.

She has leather fringe jewelry, heavily beaded jewelry with fringe and fabric wearables.  Pieces can take as few as a couple hours or as long as a couple weeks to conceive and put together. Bit by bit it gets done.  As she says” It is in the journey”.

Karron has lived many places and has finally settled in Mesquite and would like to thank many people for getting her where she is today, including Karen Derby for giving her that first small tube of tiny beads for her first pair of earrings. She thanks her sister, Judy Neimeyer and sister-in-law, Barbara Worley for their encouragement and for actually wearing her jewelry”.  She thanks all visitors to and members of the Fine Arts Gallery for purchasing her jewelry, and especially to Jan Stensland for the encouragement to be different.

Most especially, she thanks the members of VVAA for making the Fine Arts Gallery a reality for all to enjoy.  “The Gallery is my home away from home,” she said.

A reception to honor Karron Knight and the winners of the July exhibition “It’s My Birthday” will be help at Mesquite Fine Art Gallery, Thursday, July 23 from 4-6 p.m.

The Mesquite Fine Art Gallery is administered by the Virgin Valley Artist Association (VVAA) a non-profit volunteer organization whose purpose is to advance and promote the arts in the community, provide a place for local artists to display their talents and help with funding, planning and operating the Mesquite Fine Art Gallery.
