The Mesquite Manta Rays Swim Team will be hosting a swim meet Friday and Saturday, July 17 and 18, 2015 at the Mesquite Recreation Center Outdoor pool. According to Nicholas Montoya, Associate Director of the Department, the outdoor pool will be closed to the general public on Friday, July 17 and open back up on Saturday, July 18 around 3 p.m. or until the meet is over.
“We will have around 90 of our own swimmers from the Mesquite Manta Ray swim team participating in the Swim Meet, we are expecting around 300 swimmers for the Year End Championships from Utah and Arizona,” said Montoya. “We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause anyone; but our indoor pool will be open at the regular times during the event and of course both splash pads are open and operational for the public.”
