Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for June 14-20, 2015.
Lost Property: Officers responded to a report of lost prescriptions on N Grapevine Rd. A report was taken.
Vandalism: Police took a report for graffiti applied to an overpass at W Mesquite Blvd & W Falcon Ridge Pkwy.
Theft: An Officer responded to a Stone Haven St residence for a report of stolen yard decorations. Information was received and report taken.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers responded to an E Old Mill Rd residence reference an assault.
Trespassing: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino and arrested a male for trespass.
Phone Harassment: An Officer responded to the Mesquite Police Department and took a report of
harassment. The harassing activity was report as a matter of information.
Wanted Person: Officers arrested a male on Riverside Rd who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.
Domestic Violence IP: Mesquite Officers responded to an Adobe Dr residence reference a report of domestic violence. The suspect was located and arrested for domestic battery.
Noise Disturbance: Officer responded to a Sun Valley Dr apartment complex for a report of a noise complaint. A citation for Breach of Peace was issued with a court date.
Vandalism: Officer responded to a vandalism call on a vehicle parked by a W First South St residence. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. Investigation continues.
Vandalism: Officers responded to a S Arrowhead Ln laundromat reference vandalism that occurred the night before.
Vandalism: Officers responded to a N Sandhill Blvd grocery store reference vandalism to a restroom and bench. A report was taken.
Person on Foot: An Officer stopped an adult male for jaywalking on W Old Mill Rd. The male also matched the description of a suspect from multiple vandalism cases. The male was placed into custody for multiple gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor charges. He was later transported to Clark County Detention Center.
Theft from Vehicle: An Officer responded to a W Mesquite Blvd Casino and took a report of the theft of item from the bed of a pickup truck. Information was gathered and a report completed.
Suspicious Person/Circumstance: Officers located a vehicle that had stalled in the roadway on Commerce Circle; the vehicle was moved to a safe location.
Theft: An officer was dispatched to a W Pioneer Blvd business, in reference to a theft which had occurred earlier that morning.
Found Property: An abandon bicycle was found by an officer on N Sandhill Blvd. A data check showed no matches of possible missing or stolen bike report. The Bike was placed in the Department’s bicycle impound storage.
Fraud: Report taken for credit card fraud.
Theft: Officers responded to a W Pioneer Blvd discount store reference a female shoplifter. The female was issued a citation and released with a court date.
Driving Under the Influence: Officer observed an adult male driving a vehicle without headlamps at night. One adult male was arrested for DUI, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and traffic related offenses.
Burglary: An officer took a report of theft at a W Pioneer Blvd hotel.
Trespassing IP: An officer was dispatched to a W Mesquite Blvd casino, in reference to a trespass violator. An adult male subject was issued a citation for trespassing and released.
Verbal Dispute IP: Officers responded to the hospital for a report of a female subject out of control. Female subject advised she was a victim of a crime that occurred in Arizona. Mohave County Sheriff responded to take the report.
Theft: Officer responded to a theft call at a W Pioneer Blvd club. A Male subject stole money and wallet from a waitress. Money and wallet were recovered however, suspect fled on foot.
