Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for May 10-16, 2015.

May 10:

Graffiti: Officers located graffiti along Old Mill Road.

Trespassing: Officers responded to Smith’s reference a trespassed adult male.  The male was cited and released with a court date for unlawful trespassing.

May 11:

Vandalism: Officers responded to a Moss Dr residence reference slashed tires.  A report was taken.

Suspicious/Veh: An Officer was conducting a check of a suspicious vehicle on W Hafen Ln and found the driver to have an outstanding warrant out of the City of Mesquite. Male subject was arrested and transported to the Detention Center.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officer responded to Colleen Ct for a report of property damage on private property; a report was taken.

Domestic Trouble: An officer was dispatched to a N Willow St clinic in reference to domestic violence.

Graffiti: An Officer responded to graffiti on W Old Mill Rd public property.

Traffic accident W/O injury: An officer responded to a two vehicle, non injury accident on Falcon Ridge Parkway. An accident report was completed and citation issued.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Mesquite Police Officers responded to 1060 West Pioneer Boulevard for a report of a vehicle running into the front of a business. No injuries were reported and an accident report was completed.

Wanted Person: Officers arrested a male on Desert Dr who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Threatening: Officer responded to a N Sandhill Blvd business for a report of threats. A report was taken.

Juvenile Problem: Officers cited and released a juvenile on Desert Dr. for curfew violation.

May 12:

Graffiti: Officers responded to graffiti under the Bunkerville bridge on Riverside Rd.  A report was taken and markings documented.

Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a Moss Dr residence in reference to a domestic, one adult arrest was made.

Petit Larceny: Officer responded to a W Pioneer Blvd business for a report of a theft. An adult female was issued a citation for Petit Larceny and released with a court date.

Wanted Person: Officers stopped a male for minor traffic violations on W Pioneer Blvd. Officers later arrested the male because he had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

May 13:

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Student was cited for damage to school property on Valley View Dr.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: An officer was dispatched to a W Mesquite Blvd intersection, in reference to a minor traffic accident, without injuries.

Hit & Run: Officer responded to a reported hit and run on Falcon Ridge Pkwy. Suspect vehicle was located and a traffic accident report completed.

Domestic Trouble: Officers responded to a report of a possible domestic violence incident in a N Sandhill Blvd parking lot. Officers determined the argument was verbal only. Male subject was taken into custody for an active warrant.

May 14:

Wanted Person: An officer was dispatched to an address in Bunkerville, in reference to a person with a misdemeanor warrant.

Theft: An officer was dispatched to a W Mesquite Blvd casino, in reference to theft.

May 15:

Burglary: Officer responded to a S Arrowhead Ln business for a report of a burglary that had occurred during the night. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.

Lost Property: An officer was dispatched to an Emmarene St residence, in reference to a lost property report.

Theft: Report was taken for counterfeit currency on W Pioneer Blvd. The counterfeit bills were taken and placed into evidence. Report was completed and an event number was provided.

May 16:

Officers responded to a E Pioneer Blvd parking area reference a suspicious male looking through a vehicle on a car hauler. The adult male was arrested for tampering with a motor vehicle.

Trespassing IP: An officer responded to a casino reference a trespass violator. An intoxicated adult male was arrested for trespassing.

Trespassing: An Officer responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a male adult soliciting sex. The male adult was arrested for soliciting sex, breach of peace and trespassing.

Wanted Person: An officer conducted a traffic stop on W Pioneer Blvd on a vehicle for an equipment violation. A passenger in the vehicle had an active warrant with the Mesquite Municipal court, and was arrested.

Wanted Person: An officer observed a vehicle in a N Lower Flat Top Dr city park after park curfew. The adult male occupant of the vehicle was arrested for an active Mesquite Municipal Court warrant.
