May 31, 1882: 15 families and a total of 71 inhabitants live on the flat (Now Mesquite).

May 11, 1984: The Eighth Judicial Court of Nevada decreed Mesquite become a city of the third class and be recognized by the courts and people of Nevada.

May 14, 1992: Sylvan Hughes was Grand Marshall for Mesquite Days.
