trixie (2)-1We Care for Animals (WCFA) featured pet is Trixie, a 6 year old Jack Russell Terrier. She walks well on the leash and rides well in the car. Trixie is house trained and crate trained. She loves to play ball and will entertain herself playing with a ball. She weighs 17 lbs. She gets along well with other dogs.

Available Cats/Kittens:

Whiskers and Scuddles: These two handsome 9 month old cats are very friendly. Whiskers is the leader of the two and is the first to demand your attention. Scuddles follows at his leisure. Whiskers has the longer hair and a fluffy tail while Scuddles has a sleek, shiny coat. It would be nice if they could go to a home together but it is not required.

Emily is a sweet, 10 year old senior feline. Emily is calm and affectionate. She is in good health. Emily has a bobbed tail and a beautiful fluffy coat. She would do well in a senior citizen home giving lots of love to her family

Available Dogs:

Bryce is a Poodle/Lhasa Apso mix. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. Bryce weighs about 14 lbs. Bryce is house trained and uses a doggie door. He is a mild mannered, nice 3 year old dog and gets along well with other dogs. His tail is constantly wagging.

Olaf, also known as “Ollie” was found abandoned and some nice ladies took him in; they groomed him, and cared for him but couldn’t keep him. He is about 2 years old, weighs 11 lbs and is a nice mix of poodle and maltese. He is housetrained, crate trained, rides well in the car and loves to go for walks. Ollie is a really nice boy. He gets along fine with other dogs, cats and kids.

Lola is a 4 year old terrier/Chihuahua mix. Lola weighs 9 lbs. She is house trained and does well with other dogs. Lola loves to play fetch and riding in the car is a special treat. Lola has some of the terrier fur but she has been cut short for the summer. She has a very cute under bite that gives her a very cute smile.
WCFA’s next pet adoption in Mesquite is this Saturday, May 9th, in Suite 1 at 150 N. Yucca in Mesquite from 9:30 until 12:30 pm. Come visit our wonderful pets.

WCFA offers a wonderful low-cost/free opportunity to spay/neuter your pets to prevent accidental litters and keep your pet happy and healthy. Foster Pet Parents needed: WCFA depends on reliable pet fosters to save homeless cats and dogs. The number of homeless pets that WCFA can foster is determined by its available foster homes. WCFA is often confused with the Mesquite Animal Shelter. The Shelter is operated by the City of Mesquite. WCFA is an independent cat and dog rescue and is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.
