Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for April 19 – 25, 2015.

April 19:

Found Property: An Officer responded to the public library on W First North St reference a found bicycle.

Theft: An officer responded to the detention center lobby in reference to a reported theft on N Arrowhead Ln.

Animal complaint: Mesquite Officers responded to a Larkspur Ln residence reference an animal problem. The owner of the animals was charged for allowing her animal to run at large.

Petit Larceny: Mesquite Officers responded to a W Mesquite Blvd business reference a male adult that committed theft. Officers located the male adult and arrested him for petit larceny.

Wanted Person: Officers located and arrested a male on W Mesquite Blvd that had several warrants out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

April 20:

Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: Officers responded to a traffic accident with injuries on Hillside Drive.  One adult male was taken to the hospital by Mesquite Fire Department.  An accident investigation was completed; an adult male was issued a citation.

Threatening: Police took a report for threatening text messages.

April 21:

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Police took a report for vandalism to a vehicle on N Grapevine Rd.

Truancy: A truant student was cited for truancy.

Welfare Check: Officer’s dispatched to a Mesquite Springs Dr residence for a welfare check on a student, who has missed several days of school.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a W Mesquite Blvd casino reference a trespass violator. Officers cited and released the female with a court date.

Theft from Vehicle: Officer responded to a W Mesquite Blvd business for a report of a theft from a vehicle. A report was taken.

Wanted Person: Officers arrested a male on Hillside Dr who turned himself in on a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

April 22:

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Mesquite Officers responded to a single vehicle accident on Hillside Dr.. Property damage occurred and the driver sustained minor injuries.

Theft: An officer was dispatched to a Hillside Dr address, in reference to a theft.

April 23:

Truancy: A truant student was cited for truancy.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: An officer was dispatched to a parking lot on Falcon Ridge Pkwy, in reference to a minor vehicle accident without injuries.

Found Property: An officer was dispatched to the police department, in reference to a found property call.

April 24:

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: Vehicle accident on private property colliding with a Pulsipher Ln parking lot awning. Property damage only.

Identity Theft: An officer was dispatched to the police department, in reference to a fraud.

Theft: An officer was dispatched to a W Mesquite Blvd business, in reference to a theft.

Wanted Person: An adult male was arrested at Kitty Hawk Dr & Marilyn Pkwy for an active warrant with the 8th District Judicial Court in Las Vegas.

April 25:

Trespassing: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference a trespass violator. An adult male was issued a citation for trespassing, and released with a court date.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: An officer was dispatched to a business on W Hafen Ln & Riverside Rd, in reference to a minor traffic accident, without injuries.

Controlled Substance Problem: Officers arrested a juvenile on Kylee Ave for possession of marijuana.

Fighting: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd casino reference a fight involving two subjects. After speaking with both subjects they refused to pursue criminal charges against each other.
