DRUGS/MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LITTLEFIELD (ARIZONA STRIP)
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Derrick Bruce Boone, 29, of St. George, Utah, and Summer Dawn Fuentes, 18, of Queen Creek, late Sunday (4/19) morning. Boone and Fuentes were arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Deputies observed a vehicle speeding through a construction zone. Approximately 9:45 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 15 at milepost 18 and contacted Boone, the driver. Deputies smelled an odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Deputies questioned Boone and Boone gave the deputy a bag of marijuana. Boone was taken into custody without incident. Deputies had the passenger, identified as Fuentes, exit the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a two glass pipes with residue and a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which weighed approximately 22 grams. Fuentes was taken into custody without incident. They were transported and booked into the Mesquite Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
