Firefighter/EMT Kasen Hughes (left) and Metro Officer Ian McOmie are ready to play at this year’s Mudd Volleyball Tournament and see which department will hold the “traveling trophy” for 2015.

Spring is in the air and area students have left school behind to enjoy that familiar time of year known as Spring Break.  Maybe the students are staying home while parents work, and others have headed off on a planned vacation or to spend Easter with family.  However as your family is enjoying this time of year, there is still time to plan on spending Saturday, April 11 at the Eureka playing in Mesquite Rotary’s 2nd Mudd Volleyball Tournament.

The deadline for signing up to play in this year’s event has been extended to Thursday, April 9.  Team sign-up forms and game rules can be found on Rotary’s website:  DJ #Juan will be spinning tunes and there will be plenty of excitement throughout the morning. And you won’t want to miss the competition when officers from the Mesquite Police Dept. take on members of the Mesquite Fire & Rescue for the “Studds of the Mudd” traveling trophy.  Who will be the first to keep the trophy until next year’s match up?  Join the fun on Saturday, April 11 and find out!
