The Virgin Valley High School track team hosted Boulder City, Moapa Valley and Spring Valley High Schools in a co-ed track meet in the Dawg Pound Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Dawgs placed third with a score of 52 points. Boulder City won the meet with a score of 95 and Spring Valley took second at 70 points. The Bulldog men placed second in their meet with a score of 58.5 to 119 points to winner Boulder City.

On the girl’s side, Taylor Bryant again won the 110 meter hurdle, the pole vault and ran a leg on the winning 4×100 meter relay team. Bulldog sprinter Kaydee Bingham won the 100 meter dash in a dead heat with Carla Castillo of Spring Valley. Bingham also placed third in the 200 meter dash behind Castillo. Bingham anchored the 4X100 relay team of Bryant, Emily Teerlink and Elizabeth Deleon. Also garnering points for the Bulldogs were Dylan Bryant with a second in the high jump and a third in the pole vault, Kaitlyn Frump with a second in the 3200 meter distance and a third in the long jump.

The Bulldog men were led by Micah Saunders who won the long jump, Kai Mitchell who took the high jump. Charles Erickson placed second in the pole vault and 110 meter high hurdles adding points for the Dawgs. The Bulldog 4X100 and 4X400 meter relay teams placed second in the meet. Thrower Chase Henderson placed third in the discus and fourth in the shot put.
