Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a fight in progress late Tuesday (3/10) afternoon, at about 4:15 p.m., on the side of the road on Highway 91 at milepost 5.  Dispatch advised that the reporting party said the fight involved one adult male and two adult female subjects.  While enroute, deputies were advised that the subjects got back into their car and were traveling toward Scenic on Highway 91.  A short time later, a second reporting party contacted dispatch to report a single vehicle accident on Highway 91 at milepost 1.  Three occupants were reported to be in the vehicle.  Upon arrival, deputies observed a vehicle that left the roadway and slid into an embankment.  Deputies contacted the three occupants all from Mesquite, Nevada, identified as Nina Romero, 41, Richard Glenn, 44, and Heather Leavitt, 35.  Investigations later determined that Romero, the driver, was assaulted by Glenn, her boyfriend and Leavitt, his sister.  Romero reported being assaulted by Leavitt while they were driving on Highway 91 when she lost control of the vehicle.  The vehicle suffered major damage.  All three occupants were transported by ambulance to Mesa View Regional Hospital in Mesquite.  Charges are pending on all three subjects for mutual assault/domestic violence.  Alcohol appears to be a factor and charges may be filed against Romero pending the blood test results.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.
