MLN-Obit2jan8-15Margaret Sylvester Hardy, age 103, passed away peacefully Monday, January 5, 2015 in Mesquite.  She was born January 28, 1911 in Mesquite, Nevada.  On June 23, 1926 she married Heber Vernon Hardy in Las Vegas.  They were later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple.

Margaret lived her entire life in Mesquite, dedicating herself to family, church and community.  She served faithfully in the LDS Church, including a mission in Louisiana.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling, including trips to Alaska, Hawaii and cruises.

Survivors include three daughters and one son: Louise Leavitt of Mesquite, Emmarene Lee of Moapa, and Myrlene (Everett) Miller of Jefferson City, OR, Charles of Mesquite; 21 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Sheldon and Val; two brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Mesquite LDS Stake Center, 100 N Arrowhead Lane.  Visitation will be from 9 – 10:30 a.m. at the chapel.  Interment will follow in the Mesquite Cemetery.  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com
