The Mesquite Library’s “Charting a New Course” Career and College Fair is on Friday January 9 and open to parents, students, teachers and the general public.

Representatives from Southern Utah and Nevada Universities, Colleges, Vocational and Technical Schools and Apprenticeship Programs as well as Wells Fargo and a whole host of others businesses will be attending the fair.

Special speakers planned include Mesquite Mayor Al Litman, a representative from Congressman Heck’s Office, Las Vegas Library Board of Trustee Randy Ence, Las Vegas Library District Regional Branch Manager Mario Aguilar, Las Vegas Library District HR Generalist London Porter, CSN Sr. Associate Vice President Dan Gouker, U.S. Army Staff Sgt King, Stevens – Henager College and Dixie Applied Technical College.

Southern Nevada Health District will also be on site to administer immunizations to students under 19 who need them.

Light refreshments and drinks will be available, courtesy of Eureka Hotel and Casino.
