Youth Baseball/Softball for Boys & Girls is scheduled to begin April 6, 2015, for Girls Softball and Boys Baseball ages 4 – 14. The deadline to register is Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 5 p.m. Registrations are being taken now. There is an EARLY REGISTARTION DISCOUNT of $10.00 off if you register now through January 31, 2015. After the January 31 date, registration fee will be full price.
If spots are available after the registration deadline, those wanting to fill the available positions Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Registrations: December 5, 2014 – February 28, 2015
- Skills Day/Combine, February 28, 2015 at the Virgin Valley High School Fields
- 10 a.m.: Minors 8-10 Years Old, Boys
- 11:30 a.m.: Majors 11-12 Years Old, Boys. Majors 8-11 Years Old, Girls.
- 1 p.m.: Juniors 13-14 Years Old, Boys. Juniors 12-14 Years Old, Girls.
- Player Draft Day: March 2, 2015
If there is anyone that is interested in coaching, umpiring, concessions or volunteering please inquire with the Leisure Services Department there is form you must fill out, we appreciate everyone’s involvement and dedication to the program and especially the youth of the valleys.
“The purpose of youth programs in the City of Mesquite Department of Athletics & Leisure Services is to guide boys and girls through an organized program,” said Zach Robison, Recreation Coordinator. “Youth can learn the fundamentals of a sport and learn sportsmanship through participation. The ultimate goal is to encourage skill development and foster a positive attitude.”
