Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii’s way of saying “Merry Christmas to you”.  And the Eureka Community Initiative will echo those sentiments in the upcoming community Christmas spectacular “Heart of the Holidays” December 11th, 5pm in Town Square at the Eureka.  The show is a fundraiser for the groups participating and proceeds from ticket sales will all go back into the community.

The “Heart of the Holidays” musical show is a family show and will combine local talent with a professional Hawaiian Christmas show, emceed by favorite Christy Copeland.  Local talent will include members of the Charles Arthur Hughes Middle School band, the Virgin Valley High School jazz band, the Community Lady Singers – The Treble Makers, and the Virgin Valley Theater group.

A special number will also feature the first grade class from the Virgin Valley Elementary School participating in a Hawaiian Christmas song.  To enhance their involvement in the program, the Eureka has arranged for the children to get a private hula lesson from an instructor to help them understand the cultural background of the dance.  The show is sure to include a few more surprises for the audience as well.

Tickets are available at JS Merchant, in the Eureka Casino.  Prices are $10 for adult, $5 for children and a special $20 Family ticket.  You won’t want to miss this very special and one of a kind Christmas fundraiser!  For more information, please contact Gerri Chasko at 702-345-4726.
