Carnival for Cures is returning this year, with a grand Halloween-themed carnival scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18 in Mesquite at the old roller rink located at 1646 W. Pioneer Boulevard.

Last year proved to be a success for the community, and the Carnival for Cures decided to host another carnival this fall. The event helps raise funds for members of the community who might have a financial need due to medical issues.

Some of the returning fun will be the silent auction, food, and carnival-themed games.

This year, the event has added a haunted house, for those who dare, and a costume contest for the little ones. There will also be a special appearance by DJ Juan. Other fun includes face painting, a cake walk, mini golf, darts, bounce house, ring toss, and all your favorite snacks. Follow the fun on their Facebook page, Carnival for Cures, and twitter, @Carnival4Cures.
