September’s Real Estate Numbers

Welcome back, Snowbirds! The real estate market has been busy during the hottest part of the year.

During the month of September 2014, there was a combination of 37 single family, condominium, and townhome residences closed/sold and an additional 53 properties that went into pending status for closure at a later date. Although this information does include some new home sales, it does not include all new home or private (for sale by owner) home sales.

Real estate professionals reported that 20 single family homes closed/sold during September 2014.  The lowest priced home, a 3 bedroom/1.75 bath, 1105 SF home on Sioux Circle sold for $38,500; the highest priced home, a 2 bedroom/2.5 bath, 2010 SF home in the Calistoga Ranch neighborhood sold for $314,000.

During this same time, a total of 15 condos/townhomes sold. The lowest priced residence, a 335 SF studio condo in the Smokey Lane/Casa Blanca Villas subdivision sold for $37,000; the highest priced residence, a 3 bedroom/1.75 bath, 1897 SF townhome in the Cinco Townhomes subdivision sold for $262,000.
