Lady Bulldog volleyball squad win streak hits 12
The Virgin Valley High School volleyball team defeated S.E.C.T.A (Tech) in three games 25-11, 25-18 and 25-17 Tuesday night in Las Vegas. Janella Fiso led the Dawgs with 22 assists and eight service aces. Teammates Emma Barnum had eight digs and nine kills. Bernice Fiso chipped in six kills. “We played great the first game and good enough to win the other two,” said Coach Lori Barnum. The Bulldog record now stands at 5-2 in league and 11-11 overall. The Bulldogs host Sunrise Mountain on Thursday in the Dawg House.

Bulldog tennis players advance to regionals
Although the Bulldog boy tennis team lost to The Meadows 16-2 on Monday in regional play, individual players qualified for Regionals. Six girls and six boys begin play on October 14. Tyler Hughes, with a record of 16-5, qualified as a fifth seed. Chris Cannon qualified seventh with a 13-8 record. Open draw qualifiers were the doubles team Jace Haviland and Ryan Rushton and the team of Eric Luna and Isacc Talahytewa.

On the girls’ side Natilyn Faught and Sara Anderson will be playing singles. The teams of Jamie Falls and Resha Bunker plus Emily Leavitt and Jackie Hughes will be playing doubles. Winners of their matches will move on to play Wednesday October 15.
