This Week in Local History June 30th to July 6th
1776 July 4th -Independence Day. On this day in 1776 Congress approved The Declaration of Independence, declaring the United States independent of Great Britain.
1880- 15 Families now reside at the Bunkerville Town site
1927 -16 local girls spent the summer picking strawberries in Provo, UT.
1930- First well drilled in The Virgin Valley, 300 ft. deep, behind Mesquite Elementary School. Water not fit to drink so it was used for the schools toilets.
1935 – CCC Camp left for summer. (In charge of work projects during The Great Depression)
