MLN-Softballjune19-14The Virgin Valley High School Bulldog softball team held their annual recognition banquet Thursday, May 29. Coach Travis Griffith presided for the evening’s event.

Six Lady Dawgs received special recognition for their play this season.

Junior Becca Bramlage was named to the 1-A Sunrise Conference first team and also received second team recognition in the 1-A Southern Region. Bramlage batted .382 for the season as well as leading the Bulldogs in all pitching stats.

Sophomore Janella Fiso led the Bulldogs in batting this year with a remarkable .486 average and was named to the all-conference second team.

Freshman Emma Barnum was also named to the all-conference second team with a .351 batting average and a great on base percentage of .365.

Sophomore catcher Tylee Robison with seniors Kaycee Anderson and Maggie Dobbs received all-conference honorable mention.

The Lady Dawgs finished Sunrise Conference play with a respectful 7-5 record and third place finish. Coach Griffith and the Dawgs’ future look’s bright losing only three seniors from this year’s squad.
