DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LITTLEFIELD (ARIZONA STRIP)

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brenda Kay Dawson, 45, of Henderson, NV, early Monday (6/9) evening for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.  At about 6:08 p.m., deputies were dispatched to south of Desert Springs, Littlefield, in reference to a stuck vehicle on a road blocking traffic.  Upon arrival, deputies observed a semi-truck that was stuck in the dirt on a 4-wheeler trail and blocking the entrance and exit of the roadway.  Deputies contacted the driver identified as Dawson.  Dawson advised that she was traveling from Henderson and decided to stop in Littlefield to go by the river.  Dawson further advised that her semi-truck got stuck as she was driving down the road that leads to the river.  A consent search of the vehicle revealed 7 syringes containing liquid.  A syringe was field tested positive for methamphetamine.  Dawson was taken into custody without incident.  She was transported and booked into the Mesquite Jail in Nevada.  The tow company had to use multiple tow trucks to get the semi-truck unstuck from the sand.
