In a call Thursday afternoon, Virgin Valley Water District Board President Nephi Julien informed the MLN that he had been notified by Water District Manager Kevin Brown that John Lonetti’s payment had finally been received by their bank, the Bank of Nevada.
The total received of $4.64 million will ensure that the district can proceed with their plans of building a redundancy line in the Pulte/Del Webb/Sun City area as planned, rather than delaying it for several more years.
There is still a matter of $100,000 that is in the process of being released and distributed to the district as well as determining how much interest Lonetti will owe due to not fulfilling the original deadline in October 2014.
