The Virgin Valley High School volleyball team defeat Desert Pines 3-0 in Las Vegas. The Lady Dawgs won 25-11, 25-22 and 25-13 over the Jaguars. Bernice Fiso led the Dawgs with 10 kills. Sister Janella had 19 assists and an amazing 15 service aces for the matches. McKayla Brotherson, Emma Barnum and Kaydee Bingham had five kills each for the Dawgs. The Bulldogs record went to 4-2 for league play.
Bulldog soccer gals recover to tie archrivals Moapa Valley Pirates, 2-2 Tuesday afternoon at Moapa Valley. The Lady Dawgs trailed 2-1 after one half of play, their only goal by striker Abbie Barnum. Marlene Quiarte tied up the match late to avert a loss. The Bulldogs league record now stands 3-1-1. The Ladies will host Boulder City on October 7 at 3:00pm. The Bulldogs next home game will be on October 9 at 6pm.
