Celebrates United Nations Interfaith Harmony Day
“Many Faiths-One Song”
The St. George Interfaith Council invites and welcomes our Southern Utah Community to join us for our annual Interfaith Harmony Day Celebration and concert “Many Faiths, One Song” March 18, 2026 at 7pm at Desert Hills High School Auditorium. 
St George Area Interfaith Council and the St George Interfaith Choir will join with churches and congregations throughout the world to celebrate Interfaith Harmony week! World Interfaith Harmony Week is an annual UN-designated observance held to promote mutual understanding, foster dialogue, cooperation, respect and to build a culture of peace between people of different faiths. Established in 2010 by King Abdullah II of Jordan, it encourages unity and social harmony based on the principles of love of God and love of neighbor.
The Interfaith Harmony Day Concert and Celebration will include music from a number of choirs, including the St. George Interfaith Choir, Desert Hills High School Chamber Singers, Saint George Catholic Church Spanish Children’s Choir, Color Country Men’s Chorus and Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church choir.
Another notable part of this unique Interfaith Harmony celebration will be the opportunity to view posters from fifteen different local faiths that describe their basic perspectives and beliefs about the “The Golden Rule”. A representative of each faith will attend each poster to answer
questions. The displays include Methodist, Orthodox Christian, Presbyterian, Islam, Quakers, Episcopal, Catholic, Center for Spiritual Living, Unitarian, Lutheran, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Solomon’s Porch Four Square, Jewish and Baha’i faiths.
Come and celebrate the remarkable spirit of unity that we enjoy in our community, recognizing that at our core, we are all in this together and we need to love and support one another and live in harmony and peace.
